Role


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Preparing month-end reports for management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure that the preparation of financial statements, annual reports and tax submissions (direct, indirect, transfer pricing) are done accurately and on time.
  • Responsible for the planning, budgeting and budgeting of the performance and cash flow for the Group and subsidiaries.
  • Ensure compliance to government regulations across shopper360 Limited’s business operations including areas of tax, legislation and other laws both in Malaysia and outside of Malaysia.
  • Manage the financial facilities, treasury function, and foreign exchange processes across the Group.
  • In-charge of ensuring internal controls, policies and procedures are up to date with best practices.
  • Manage internal and external audit process.
  • Preparation of material and information for Board of Director Meetings.
  • Manage the SGX listed platform requirements including managing key stakeholders (such as Sponsors, Company Secretary).
  • Oversee and improve on the key business processes through process improvement, digitising and digitalisation.
  • Coaches and trains subordinates to increase capabilities and to establish succession plans.

Commercial Finance

  • Build and manage relationship with internal key stakeholders in areas of business partnering and adding value to their business needs and requirements.
  • Insightful financial analysis to key internal stakeholders to understand business performance on Group and individual levels
  • Provide guidance to Commercial/Business team in leading the initiatives to drive margins through right pricing strategy, improve working capital and managing business risks and opportunities
  • Support Business Head to build up commercial negotiation know-how and capabilities around pricing, structuring contracts, negotiate with client if need arises and to coordinate the implementation of negotiated contracts with Legal, Tax and Finance.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy; and a qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification. Experience working in a service industry is advantageous.
  • Minimum 8 years experiencein Senior Management role.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Possess good interpersonal and leadership skills with firm, decisive and mature personality.
  • High integrity, self-motivated, performance driven and a team player.
  • Able to lead a team towards proper execution of strategies and plans in realizing organizational objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Commercial Finance leadership experience for a service organization (preferred)
  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop talent.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Analytical and commercial business approach is required to provide commercial support to Business Heads.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills; general computer proficiency
