Assistant Manager-Operations

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure operations efficiency and effectiveness
  • Monthly engagement with the Team
  • Co-ordinate with both internal and external customers
  • Manage ad-hoc request & manpower allocation
  • Approval of itinerary & recruitment for the team
  • Monthly updates on merchandisers performance/KPI achievement
  • Monitor merchandisers day to day performance and discipline matters
  • Ensure documentation submission & compliance (salary, claims, insurance payout)
  • Perform audit & route ride with merchandisers
  • Allocate all POSM materials
  • Backup support of field work
  • Travel to region for field work and audit once a month

Job Requirements

  • SPM/Diploma/Degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 3 years in FMCG operations
  • 3-5-year work experience in either the same industry or in a similarly fast-paced multi-product industry
  • Have extensive experience handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin will be an added value)
  • Good communication & presentation skills, analysis on data
  • Likes developing and tinkering with products and processes; sees need for continuous improvement
  • Have strong sense of urgency with ability to anticipate potential problems
  • Able to multi-task and work independently in a high pressure, fast-changing environment at irregular hours (including weekends)
  • Proficient in use of MS Office applications.
  • Posses own transport and willing to travel frequently
